Introducing Phil Sproson Photography

I have lived and worked in the Peak District for many years and I have a great passion for where I live. My surroundings frequently feature in and influence my photography, and I love to use the outdoor world as my studio. This gives me many, many backdrops at my disposal, from wonderful green hills with natural tones of outcrops of rocks, to the light and shade of the ancient woodlands that the Peak District has in abundance. It is beautiful at any time of the year, and I feel very lucky to photograph here.

My work

I am passionate about my work, whether it involves collaborating with large national companies to showcase commercial products, working with local businesses to capture holiday accommodation at its best, or producing beautiful images for individual clients to treasure. I am also proud to run very successful photography tuition workshops, and I get huge satisfaction from passing on my experience and expertise to others.

Why choose me?

First and foremost, I am a friendly guy with a desire to please you, and I always guarantee you my best attention at all times. I see every photography commission as a new opportunity to exceed expectations, and I have a great wealth of knowledge and experience that I bring to every shoot. All my images are carefully hand-edited before they are delivered to you, and I work very hard to ensure that we are both delighted with the end results of every commission.

What people are saying about my photography…

“Phil is a fine photographer and a lovely person to work with. Happy to recommend him.”

Edwina Currie Jones, Currie Jones Associates Ltd

“We have used Phil a couple of times for our internal holiday cottages shots. We highly recommend him, he worked within our time slots and produced some fantastic photographs for our website, he is very creative and always seeks to find the best shot. Best of all he took the time to understand our needs and what ‘image’ we were looking for… Excellent work.”

Stephen Ogan, Blakelow Farm Holiday Cottages

“Phil is a superb landscape photographer with his Peak District Photography and web designer. I’ve worked with Phil on numerous projects and he has developed my websites from scratch. He is a total professional and nothing is too much trouble. He has produced some brilliant landscape calendars and is working on other calendar projects with Shhmedia Calendars to produce made to order Calendars such as my Calendar of model, Zara Watson. Phil is now producing a fine art website for me as a print sales site. I am looking forward to working with him more.”

“Phil has delivered Peak District photography tuition on some of our guided Peak District walks for our clients. As well as covering the basics to the group as a whole, he spent time with individuals providing one to one coaching, tailored to their individual needs. Everyone on these landscape photography workshops went away delighted with the results that they had achieved, and with a new set of skills to put into practice in the months to come.”

Cath Lee, Peak Walking Adventures

We just wanted to thank you again for a really useful, informative and enjoyable day on Sunday. Your coaching in the use of the camera was first rate and we really value the follow-up email and advice. I’m sure we’ll be tapping into your expertise again in the future.

Angie Ford

Having worked with Phil on a regular basis for a mutual client, I have been consistently impressed with his attention to detail in his photographs. Phil is efficient and very organised in his work and I would recommend him for any form of Landscape, commercial & lifestyle photography.
