Winnats Pass is a limestone gorge at the end of the Hope Valley which overlooks the pretty village of Castleton. The name Winnats Pass is a corruption of 'wind gates' due to the swirling winds through the pass. Here, at sunrise, the lone figure looks out to the Hope Valley, adoring what nature serves.
